contacting teammember after dc
I'm having a little problem with my inet connection right now.
It's very unstable and it's on my side (i had troubles pinging to known sites). We were at the 'Bloodstone Fen' and just finished bonus. We just got right before the white mantle part and there i got dc. Now I would like to contact one of the members of the team I was in. Problem is, i don't know the full name of one of them, only a partial one. And since i had dc, i don't have ingame communication in the chatwindow to look up their names there. Is there a possibility to find someone with only a partial (in this case first) name? If not, how do you contact people after a dc? Add them to friends list? Or just remember their full name? Or does gw save the communication somewhere on the hard drive, so i can retreive it from there? |

I think you are out of luck on this one. If you add a member to your freind list It stays for good, or if they are part of your guild. My brother had the same issues with his Internet every time we did a mission together he got disconnected after 15 min or so. He finally got rid of dialup and it fixed his problem.

As far as I know, there is no way to find who you were talking to if you don't have their names written down. What I do is, at the start of every quest/mission/PvP/Tombs/FoW/UW/Etc. I write down the name of 1 person on the team. If I get DC I message them and ask them to tell everyone im sorry. Works well. But, in this case, there really is no way to contact them.

Thanks for the quick replies.
Writing down sounds like a good idea. This was my first dc when playing with a team of total strangers (had dc once or twice while playing with hench / guildmember). There has to be a first time for everything, i guess. |

I usually hit print screen after getting a full party. That way I can whisper everyone if I get disconnected. I used to add people to my friendslist, however after a week or two I have no idea who these people are.
Haven't been practicing much, due to the fact that I can always find Danika, Sister Tai, Lina and even Alesia hanging out in most major cities. However, they're not too forgiving. They're standing in front of me and they set themselves to offline. |

I believe Gaile said they were working on a way to reconnect if you drop out during a mission. Either that or she just said it was a good idea..... don't really remember.
